FREE: Transitions event for parents & carers of young disabled people

Glasgow Disability Alliance  has provided details of a free Transitions event for parents & carers of young disabled people.

 

This will take place on Friday 1st September, 10am – 3.30pm (Drop in and timed sessions)

Free lunch and refreshments provided.

Free workshops! Timed – please book in advance.
Self Directed Support: making sense of the ‚Äú4 options‚ÄĚ for SDS.
Skills Development Scotland: My World of Work and Parent Zone.
Family Fund: I-Pad basics and useful Apps, e.g. to support communication.
Kelvin College: Basic IT skills, including certificated short sessions.
Sexual Health and Relationships – information and support.

Information stalls
Advocacy.
Benefits and money advice.
Employability services.
Housing information.
Independent Living Fund
Legal and guardianship.
Self Directed Support.
Support services providers.
