SITE Scotland, in conjunction with Sensory Impairment Services, Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership, are proud to bring you a state of the art technology event focusing on the latest in support for those with sight loss.

Exhibitors at this free event include:

Humanware – talking about the BrailleNote Touch and also the Prodigi Connect 12. The Prodigi Connect 12 is a 12″ tablet in a specially designed stand, which provides magnification and speech for both hard copy and electronic text. ¬†Humanware will also have the Explore range of portable electronic magnifiers for people to try out.

Optelec – will be offering demonstrations of the most up to-date equipment range. Interested in audio and text-to-speech reading? The ClearReader+ is now in its second generation, offering many more useful features and a faster response time from the point of scanning.
See the full range of Schweizer low vision aids on display, including ERGO mobil LED magnifiers for left-handed users. Demonstrations will be available of the Traveller HD, a unique and portable reading tablet with a generous 13-inch widescreen. The unique Slide & Read camera provides a more natural reading experience, especially for those that find it difficult to keep their hands steady.
The recently-launched Compact+ HD handheld video magnifier offers a retractable handle and all the benefits of powerful magnification and high contrast in High Definition.

Orcam – is the worlds most advanced mobile artificial visual aid that has been designed to assist blind & partially sighted people in their daily living, The OrCam can read print from a book, Newspaper, Menu from your Favourite restaurant or your mail, OrCam is very mobile & intuitive to use and doesn’t rely on any assistive platforms like Wifi or Bluetooth this allowing the user to use it anywhere, OrCam also harnesses the ability to recognise people’s faces & preloaded products !!

Sight Sound Technologies – find out about portable solutions, from magnification to scanning solutions such as the Blaze EZ, Ruby video magnifiers, Focus Blue 14, EyePal Ace and Orcam.

SITE Scotland – the SITE Team will demonstrate accessible tech such as iPads, Amazon Kindle, MacBooks, Windows laptops, magnification and screen reader options and the Amazon Dot – so come along and say hello to SIRI, Alexa and Cortana!

‚ÄėIndependence Day‚Äô Paisley will be held at the Disability Resource Centre, 74 Love Street, Paisley PA3 2EA commencing 10AM until 1PM.

This event has something for everyone including those new to technology, those who want to see how technology can make you more independent, those in employment, employers, those involved in accessibility and students.
