new Certificate of Vision Impairment (CVI) Scotland Form

From the beginning of April, there is a new form for registering people with vision impairments aged 16 and over.

This new Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI) form, uses the terminology of ‘sight impaired’ or ‘severely sight impaired’ and replaces the old BP1 form.
This new form will hopefully provide local authorities and the Scottish Government with a better understanding of the care and support needs of people with vision impairments. This, in turn, should enable the better design and provision of services. It’s important to note, though, that registration is voluntary, and access to services should not depend on registration.
