Orcam Demonstrations Edinburgh and Glasgow

The OrCam MyEye is a wearable device designed specifically for people who are blind or visually Impaired. Simple gestures prompt the device to read printed text, recognise friends, distinguish between money notes and other items and even distinguish different colours. The OrCam MyEye gives independence and privacy.
Due to the OrCam’s discreet miniature size, not only does it work around the home, it turns into an invaluable companion when out and about, whether reading a restaurant menu, street sign or simply choosing the right product in the Supermarket.
Being able to recognise friends and family can remove the feeling of isolation at parties and group gatherings as well as in the home or workplace. The OrCam MyEye can be trained to automatically announce known people when they come into its view.

In conjunction with RNIB Scotland, OrCam are delighted to offer you the opportunity to try the OrCam at the RNIB Headquarters, Edinburgh on the 9th and 10th January 2018, or at their Offices in Gullane Street, Partick, Glasgow on the 11th January experience this innovative device for yourself.
