The Boys From Turnbull High!

SITE recently received a great funding boost from the efforts of students at Turnbull High in Bishopbriggs.

The 5th Year students, Adam Bell and Chris McHugh, selected our charity under the Youth Philanthropic Initiative (YPI). The YPI  is an inclusive multi-award winning secondary school programme that engages the social sector by engaging youth in social issues, local charities  and grant making.

SITE Chairman, Jonathon Miller said “We welcome the funding obtained through the YPI and recognise the tremendous efforts of both Adam and Chris in securing the funds for our charity. This will have a positive impact on the range of quality support services we will be able to bring to our blind and partially sighted clients this year and will enable us to broaden the range of support which will be free to clients.”

Accessibility in the use of computers, tablets and smart devices is an area we at SITE are passionate about and the funding will make a really positive impact on our clients many of whom are unaware of the accessibility of new technologies and the impact this can have on their lives.

Once again a big thank you to Adam, Chris and the YPI.
