World Sight Day
World Sight Day, Thursday 13 October,  is an important advocacy and communications event on the eye health calendar.
Promoted by IAPB (International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness), this year’s call to action is ‘Stronger Together’.

SITE is part of a network of stakeholders that deliver services to those of us with sight loss including ophthalmologists, optometrists, ophthalmic nurses, donors, patients, carers, the wider family.
This World Sight Day, let’s celebrate our partnerships and friendships.

In support of World Sight Day we want you to take a photograph which demonstrates Stronger Together. For example, this could be a photograph of someone with their guide dog, tandem cycling or running with a guide – you get the picture.
Let us have your photographs by Friday 28 October and we will upload the best entries to our website.  You can email your images to and include Stronger Together in the subject line and don’t forget to add a description beside your image.
