Accessibility with Apple

In early July SITE and DeafBlind Scotland delivered an accessibility event, hosted by Apple, showing the powerful, easy to use, and free access features of the Apple range of products.

The event was attended by 80 visually impaired participants who were able to get their hands on an iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, iMac, and MacBook. The great thing about Apple access is that it is built-in and provided as standard at no extra cost.

The full range of access features for blind and partially sighted people were demonstrated and those who attended participated in a tailored workshop and open event. Presenters included Apple staff and experienced users from SITE Scotland and DeafBlind Scotland.

Held at the Apple Store Glasgow the day was so successful further events are planned for the visually impaired community.
